Why I’m Doing 10,000 Press-Ups in January
In January, I’ll be taking on one of the toughest personal challenges I’ve ever attempted: 10,000 press-ups in 31 days — that’s 323 every single day.
Why?
Because the charities supported by Raise are facing real pressure. Demand is rising, funding is tightening, and yet every day they continue to support thousands of people across Oxfordshire with dignity, care, compassion and commitment. I’ve seen first-hand the difference they make. I’ve met the teams, listened to the stories, and witnessed their impact — and I want to do something meaningful to help them continue their vital work.
10,000 press-ups is going to hurt. There will be days when I absolutely don’t want to do it. But that small, temporary discomfort is nothing compared to the challenges faced daily by the individuals, families and communities our charities support.
Every £50 raised is match-funded to £100, meaning your support goes twice as far.
My goal is simple: to contribute to Raise’s ambition to hit £100,000 by 31st January and ensure our charities start 2026 stronger, supported and celebrated.
If you can donate — whether £5 or £50 — it will mean more to me, and to our charities, than you know.
Thank you for your support. 💙
